Are they worth the price? Youtubers advent calendars 2016

hello besties,
I am so sorry for not posting for a long time, I haven't had the motivation to do it and considering I'm in year 11 it is hard to get on top of things. However, from now on (fingers crossed) I am trying to get back into blogging, if you follow my Instagram you would see I love photography and all things beauty related.

Today I will be talking about whether You Tubers advent calendars are actually worth the price. I don't own any of these so I am judging it from the you tube themselves perspective and other peoples reviews. I don't really buy much of YouTubers Christmas merch as most of the time I do find the a bit on the pricey side, considering I don't work and I'm 15, I do feel some (not all) youtubers forget about who their target audience is. However, having said that these are the YouTubers advent calendars I feel are quite worth the money. This is not in any particular order.

If I had a choice to pick out any one of these I would say the 'Tanya Burr' cosmetics 12 days of Christmas as I feel I would get a lot of use out of her products. As well as I think they will be a good gift idea as you could introduce someone to a new range of makeup. Out of the three chocolate advent calendars I feel the 'SacconeJoly' advent calendar would be my go to genuinely because I really wanna know whats behind the secret door. I am so happy for them and this is just a cute idea for the views to get involve every step of the way. I do love 'Dan and Phil' and 'Pointless Blog' calendar too but I feel the two I just mentioned has a bit of a uniqueness from the rest, nonetheless I bet the chocolates will tastes fab.

Summer Tag 2016 || Emma Dam

hello besties,

As you may know I'm on summer break. At the time your reading this I'm probably relaxing in the hot sun with an ice cream in my hand on a sun bed near a pool side. To keep it in season, today I will be doing the Summer tag for 2016. Who remembers them good old tag days in 2013, I was reading back old blogs and ran into this. So without further ado, lets begin!

-Your dream summer holiday
My dream holiday would be travelling to several different places in Europe. I would love to visit France, Spain, Italy and Greece when I'm older as to me they seem such a happy place to be in. Travelling has always been something I wanted to do at a young age, however, the terrorists attack kinds of put me off going abroad.

-Favourite summer drink
I don't have a drink that I specificly drink in the summer but I do love a strawberries and creme frappe, especially the one in starbucks.

-Smores or ice cream?
I've never had smores before so it has to be ice cream. MInt choc chip and neapolitan is the best thing you could possible have in the summer.

-Pool or beach?
I cannot decide, I love the pool for swimming and not worrying about going to far in but I also love the beach for the environment. Every beach I go to leaves a story behind it which I guess makes it more memorable.

-Would you rather spend a summer day outside in the pool or inside watching Netflix?
Lol, as much as I love netflix and probably spend 24/7 of my time on it I would rather be out in the sun. I feel as if summer only comes round once a year and Netflix is there forever, I mean I could possible watch netflix outside.. right?

-Sunglasses or hats?
Hats are cute but I think sunglasses just adds a bit of a summer vibe to an outfit.

-Favourite summer scent?
My favourite summer scent has to be the hollister body fragrance, I'm particularly in love with the Lunada bay and silver strand beach. They smell AMAZING!

-Favourite BBQ food?
BBQs are so lush, my faves are kebabs and burgers, they're just so yum!

I hope you enjoyed today's blog, check out my other blogs if you havent read them already. I'll see you besties soon.

Beauty & Clothing Haul // Kiko, New Look and MORE|| March 2016

hello besties,

Today I am back with a fashion and beauty haul, I've been buying a few bits and pieces throughout January and February so thought I will show you it in this blog post.

One of the first places I shop in was New Look, they had a loads of new stuff in so they were clearing up all the old winter and autumn things. I saw this khaki green coat with a fluffy fur hat and I had to pick it up as its so soft and warm, perfect for the warmer winter season. This was on sale at the price of £25.99 which is a bargain knocked down from around £40.

Next in Primark I didn't picked out any of their clothing as in my Primark everything was all messy looking from the previous sales, but what I did managed to pick up was a beauty blender in their PS range. I haven't tried this out yet but I can imagine it would be perfect for blending in foundations and concealer.

In the Oracle I walked past the Kiko shop and decided to pop in and have a look. Currently at that time they were having a 50% and 70/% clearance sale and me and my mum picked up a few bits and pieces. I first have the luminous chrome lipstick in 705 which is a baby pink colour with shimmery undertone, the packaging is so cool and looks very high end type.

The swatch is the second one
My mum then picked up the double glam eyeliner, the packaging for this is stunning and I have yet to try this out so I'm not too sure of the product. From the swatches on my hand and people talking about it on YouTube, I'm super excited to use it.

I decided to take a trip to the MUA stand in superdrug as I wanted to try out some of there products, if your not from the UK, mua is basically a drugstore brand which does amazing quality products for those who are starting out from a cheap price. The first thing I picked up is a pink blush in bubblegum, this has been raved about so much all last year so I thought its finally time to pick it up.

I also then picked up a MUA matte finish lipstick in totally nude, the colour is very pigmented after a few swatches. This would be a perfect colour for the Autumn time.

In pound-world I picked up the Thai baby lips in cherry velvet, this is so moisturising, the packaging is adorable. I really want to try out the mango pie and blue berry one soon.

TkMaxx is one of my favourite shop, mainly because you can find anything there for a limited time only. I brought a bomber jacket in khaki green, it is absolutely soft and also another reason why I wanted this as I see lots of beauty gurus rave about them.

Lastly, in Wilkos I picked up a few cosmetics accessories I needed a sharpener for my brow pencils and wilko had some for 95p as well as a an eye shadow brush for 95p. I believe wilkos has the best cosmetic accessories for those who are starting out with makeup.

I hope you enjoyed today's blog, please give it a like and I'll see you in my next blog!!

Book Haul || Winter 2016

hello besties,
Today I am back with a mini book haul, this may seem small to some people but these three books may last me the whole year to read as I'm such a slow reader. Also, at the time of blogging this I've started reading Girl Online; On tour which I got for Christmas last month.

So without further a do, lets begin!

The first book I purchase off Amazon is Username Evie by Joe Sugg, I really wanted this when it first came out but I for some reason didn't pick it up in stores or online. A few days ago I saw it on Amazon knocked down to £5.00 and I knew I had to buy it. The graphics inside looks incredible, even if I'm not a fan of the story line, the graphics is amazing. Well done Joe Sugg! x

Next I picked up 'All the bright places' by Jennifer Niven, I've heard so many good reviews on this book all last year and finally I have managed to get my hands on it. I was going to pick this up in Waterstones last week but after looking around on the internet I found out that Amazon is stocking it for £3.85 which is a bargain. I love the cute illustrations on the cover and I don't know why but it reminds me so much of Spring and Summer time.

Lastly, I purchased 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell. Again same as the last I've heard so many good reviews on this book, so many people have recommended me to read this so I thought it was about time to buy it. I have actually read spoilers about this book which is bad... I know but I still cannot wait to read this soon.

So we come to an end in todays blog, in the meantime comment below your favourite books and maybe I will purchase it in the future. You know what to do, follow me on blogger for my latest posts. ;)
